Get to know me:
I am a graduate from the University of Idaho, Coordinated Program in Dietetics, earning my B.S in Food and Nutrition. I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings as a Registered Dietitian, but most recently as a part of the team at North Idaho Cardiac Rehabiliation. After seeing the dramatic results in my patients with a lifestyle approach to nutrition, I knew I had to spread the word.
As we grow and learn, we discover our passions. Speaking from experience, I did not always see the value of living a healthy lifestyle.
After finishing up my time as a collegiate athlete, I struggled to manage my health because I no longer had structure. I was not given the tools to sustain my health, even being involved in group sports all of my life. My love for food sparked my enthusiasm for nutrition, which ultimately led me to my dream job. Once I learned that there was no quick fix or magic pill to help me manage my weight, I turned to food and exercise as my life’s prescription to optimizing my health.
As I will teach you throughout our time together, my lifestyle habits are always evolving and adapting through the different seasons of life, and I have learned to listen to my body and let go of the “rules”.
When I am not teaching lifestyle nutrition, I am out enjoying my other passions in life. Like a true North Idaho gal, you will find me boating and hiking during the summer, and skiing and snowshoeing during the winter. As a wife and new mother, I enjoy getting to spoil my family with good nutrition and an active lifestyle.
